What’s a Chiplet? (And Why Dogs Love Them)

You’ve probably never heard the word Chiplet before — and that’s because we made it up over 20 years ago. When we first started experimenting with homemade dog treats, we wanted something with the reward factor of real meat, the convenience of a baked snack, and the snap-ability of a cracker.

Enter: the Chiplet.

What Is a Chiplet?

It’s a flat, baked dog treat made with just three US-sourced ingredients:

  • 82% beef liver

  • A bit of brown rice flour to hold it together

  • A tiny amount of xanthan gum to give it structure

That’s it. No fillers. No preservatives. No junk.

Why Dogs Love Them

Dogs have a biological craving for organ meats like liver. In the wild, wolves go for the liver first- it’s loaded with iron, vitamins, and natural flavor. The Chiplet taps into that instinct with bold, real meat flavor that dogs go nuts for.

Why You’ll Love Them Too

  • Easy to break into pieces (perfect for training)

  • No greasy hands or crumbs in your pocket

  • Clean, compact packaging — zero plastic

A Treat Born from Frustration

We created the Chiplet because our dogs were tired of “meh” treats - and we were tired of big plastic tubs and bags filled with filler ingredients. So we started baking our own. Years later, we’re still doing it- just on a slightly bigger scale.

One bite, and your dog will know: this isn’t just another treat. It’s a Chiplet.
